Credits & Usage

Version 2.2, Effective: May 11th, 2026.

Syft uses a hybrid pricing model that scales with the value you unlock from activating intent. Every plan includes unlimited seats, website event tracking, and company identification. Usage is metered with credits when you take action on qualified contacts or accounts.

Core principle

One entity, one charge per month. A unique person or company is charged once per month when activated i.e. when it is acted on by a motion. Here are some examples:

  • Activated Contacts: create/update a CRM Contact, enroll in a sequence, send a Slack, enrich a record, add to an audience, update contacts in analytics (e.g., GA4, PostHog).
  • Activated Companies: create/update a CRM Company record, send a Slack alert for company-level site activity, update company-level attributes in analytics (e.g., GA4, PostHog).

What consumes credits?

Credits are consumed in two ways: when Syft generates a Signal about a contact or company, and when a Motion then acts on that contact or company.

Activation Credits

Charged when a Motion acts on a contact or company.

Entity typeWhen it's chargedCost
Activated Contact: First-partyYou action a known person discovered via your own signals (form fills, logins, LinkedIn interactions, CSV enrichment)1 credit
Activated Contact: De-anonymizedYou action a person Syft identified from anonymous traffic5 credits
Activated AccountYou action a company that has no contacts activated in that month1 credit

No double charging between company and contact. If a company is activated and later a contact from that same company is activated in the same month, you're only charged for the contact. Any prior company charge is automatically applied toward that contact.

Signal Credits

Charged when a Signal is generated for a contact or company. Signal Credits apply once per unique entity per month and are independent of any Activation Credit for the same entity.

Today, the only Signal Credit feature is the RB2B Contact Identification Add-on. Additional Signal types will be added over time and will appear in this table when launched.

SignalWhen it's chargedCost
RB2B Contact IdentificationA unique visitor is identified via the RB2B Add-on, on every identification2 credits per unique contact per month

Signal Credits are independent of Activation Credits. If a visitor is identified via the RB2B Add-on (2 credits) and is also activated by a Motion in the same month (1 credit), both charges apply: 3 credits total for that contact that month. Activation of an RB2B-identified contact is charged at the standard 1-credit identified-contact rate, not the 5-credit Syft de-anonymized rate.

Examples of credit usage

  • A site visitor submits a form and triggers a motion → 1 credit (first-party contact activation)
  • Syft enriches user properties in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) or PostHog for an identified visitor → 1 credit (first-party contact activation)
  • A user logs in and we push them to a sequence → 1 credit (first-party contact activation)
  • Syft de-anonymizes a high-intent visitor and you enroll them → 5 credits (Syft de-anonymized contact activation)
  • We can't identify the person, but we update the HubSpot Company and route a Slack to the AE → 1 credit (activated account)
  • Syft updates company properties of a visitor in PostHog → 1 credit (activated account)
  • A company fires three qualified alerts and a score update this month → 1 credit total (one account, one month)
  • You first activate a company (1 credit), then later de-anonymize Jane@company.com via Syft and enroll her → 5 credits total for that company this month; the earlier account charge is applied toward Jane
  • The RB2B Add-on identifies imran@syftdata.com on your site → 2 credits (Signal: RB2B Contact Identification)
  • The same Imran is then routed to your AE via a Slack motion → +1 credit for activation; 3 credits total for Imran that month
  • RB2B identifies 10 unique visitors this month and you don't action any of them → 20 credits (10 × 2 credits Signal; no activation charges)

Monitoring Credit Usage

You can monitor the credits used in the current billing cycle in the sidebar as well as via the dashboard on the Plan & Billing page.

Credits Dashboard

The dashboard provides a breakdown of usage by the motions that consumed credits. This gives you a quick way to identify main sources of consumption and customize usage if necessary. You can also check usage over previous billing cycle and other custom durations to understand historical usage and patterns.

Billing & Usage

  • Credits reset monthly on your billing date
  • Unused credits don’t roll over
  • Usage is tracked in real time in your Billing dashboard
  • If you exceed your monthly credits, we’ll keep processing and bill overages at the same per-credit rate as your plan (no punitive overages)

FAQ

How do I know if a contact was first-party or de-anonymized? On the contact dashboard, hover over the activated contact count and you will see the breakdown.

What’s an “Activated Account”? A company you action via a motion (CRM updates, routed Slack, ABM audience, account tasks) when no contacts from that company are activated that month. That’s 1 credit.

Will I get charged twice if I touch both the company and a person? No. If both occur in the same billing month, you pay once—for the contact (1 or 5 credits). Any earlier account charge is applied toward that contact.

What if the same person triggers multiple motions? You’re charged once per unique person per month, regardless of how many actions they trigger.

Can I get a refund for unused credits? Credits are non-refundable, but you can adjust your plan or credit allocation for future months.

How do I optimize credit usage? Tighten your motion filters (ICP, Persona, Intent) to target high-intent and high-fit contacts and companies

How does the RB2B Add-on affect my credit usage? When the RB2B Add-on is enabled, you're billed 2 credits per unique RB2B-identified visitor per month as a Signal Credit, regardless of whether you take action on them. If you also activate the visitor (Slack alert, CRM motion, sequence enrollment, etc.), the standard 1-credit activation charge applies on top. Signal Credits and Activation Credits are independent — neither is applied toward the other.

Is RB2B identification the same as Syft de-anonymization? No. Syft's own de-anonymization (via our identification model) is billed only when you action the contact, at 5 credits per activated person per month. The RB2B Add-on bills 2 credits per unique identified visitor per month as a Signal Credit, plus a separate 1-credit charge if you activate.
